Okay so yay first post on this website, anyway I was watching TV the other day and a the song "I Like That Girl" came on and I thought, wow I really like that song I wonder who its by, and it led me to NRBQ, which I had never heard of. I started to listen to some of there music and some of it I dont like but then theres some that I love and it seems like most of the fans are baby boomers and people from around that time period and im 16 haha so I was wondering I guess if that is weird haha not that it really matters I just find it odd that such an awesome group exists and ive never even heard of them

they are super-underrated. I've been a music fan for a lot of years, and the best stuff isn't always the most famous and the most popular is often far from the best-it's a cruel joke. Also, you'll still be discovering new things about music for years, even if you are trying to learn as much as you can-there's just too much to get a handle on right away. NRBQ's peaked a while back, but so did the Beatles-that doesn't diminish their greatness.
Well as my username may imply The Beatles have been and will always be my favorite band of all time so I dont really have an issues with "old" music haha. I just was so shocked when I heard them, I thought "wow I really liked that song I need to know who sings/sang it"! I love finding new groups...
