Just signed up for this community because I wanted to try to be part of a forum community. My name is Jon K, most people call me JK. In case your curious the other forum was related to Ubuntu Linux. I am not even really sure if this is where I am supposed to post this thread.
I really want to be able to communicate with an online music community because firstly I love music, and secondly I was asked to make and promote a webpage for my good friend J~Mur. Who released his album recently. I am not here to just promote his album though.
I would like to post some decent material that others might enjoy, and most importantly won't hate. So for anyone who has been part of online forums for a while: any tips on how to become acclimated to this style of community? Thanks -JK
hey how are you doing? thanks for joining, if you need any help let me know!!!
welcome!!!!!!!
Thanks for responding to my post, adding me as a friend, and saying hello. I was just thinking about the shere quantity of music that exists today. How does one sort through it all. Some artists and groups make me think "Where have they been all my life?" The music that I do like, I tend to like quite a bit. I do find the music blogging scene a bit hard to sort through. I could talk about this for a while and I am not sure this is the space to talk about this topic...
I'm not familiar with J-Mur, what kind of music is it? any other faves?
He is a close friend and a recording artist. I help him out with his website, and promotion. His style is RnB. Somehow he bridged the gap for me into RnB music.
Other music I listen to is a mix of electronic music and rock. Some examples inlcude ween, broken bells, air, black moth super rainbow, Royksopp, and others...
welcome!!!!!!
Any suggestions on the next place to post? What is a good first step? Either some one else's forum, or start a forum which has a topic that hasn't already been done before.
