She had to lip-sync, for such a big broadcast that's typical. Almost any singer who uses a lot of choreography will do it-in fact if you hear their voices while they dance around, it usually sounds awful. most pop singers can't really sing that well anyway (Britney, Madonna, Katy, etc.), the sound often gets a boost in the studio along with pitch correction to make it sound acceptable. So the only way to duplicate it live is to lip-sync.
