Post here if you wish to get a recommendation for a rock artist, band, etc. If you post anywhere else asking for one, then it will be moved here. -- Thank You
Dave's not here, man.
Look up 10 Years, if you don't like them then there is something wrong with you.
Well seeing that if you look up rock on itunes you will find that Metallica is under rock. They are good, also Avenged Sevenfold, Nickelback, Warrant.
Hey guys I was just listening to "Black Betty" By: Ram Jam and I thought that energy and beat was perfect for listening to in the car with friends. Do you think you guys could recommend like ten songs that would have similar energy and beat to "Black Betty" for a playlist?
Thanks for the help!!!

Here is a link to my channel on shortform.com: shortform.com/dbehmster/my. It is just a compilation of indie bands that I listen to. I update the channel every week. Check it out if you want to discover some new music.
A lot of the Doobie Brothers early stuff (like Black Water and China Grove) is reminiscent of Ram Jam (but not the later stuff with Michael MacDonald). Also The Knack, The Who and Steely Dan are all from near that era and nice catchy and rhythmic music.
so a list of "Black Betty"ish songs
China Grove
My Sharona (The Knack)
Hey Nineteen (Steely Dan)
Rockin' Down the Highway (Doobie Bros)
American Woman (Guess Who or the Lenny Kravitz cover is also good)
Spirit in the Sky (Norman Greenbaum)
Fly Away (Lenny Kravitz)
I Can't Explain (The Who)
Listen to the Music (Doobie Bros)
My Generation (the Who)
No Sugar Tonight (The Guess Who)
Jesus is Just Alright (Doobie Bros)
Boys are Back in Town or Jailbreak (Thin Lizzy)
I Can't Explain (the Who)
Black Water (the Doobie Bros)
Let me know what you think.

Check out Vintage Blue. They have a new album coming out on Valentine's Day, and the song "Speak" from it is a really good listen. That song and some others are up on their band page- http://www.facebook.com/VintageBlueM...app_2405167945
