mainstream music sucks/divas of pop

i wish music was still the same today but the only artists that rule right now are beyonce, lady gaga, alicia keys and britney spears and maybe rihanna a little bit. because music before wasn't all about rapping it was all about singing and maybe that's why music sucks right now because of all these rappers coming in!! but these newer artists have some good songs but aren't glory as the early 2000s, 90s or 80s. i say music stopped being interesting 2004 or 2005.

the current ladies who are being called the queen of pop are lady gaga, britney spears, beyonce, and rihanna those ladies are saving the music world. so is the queen of r&b alicia keys. not the current people like adele or katy perry!! although katy's and adele's are good but not as good as the other ladies i mentioned!! right now no one stands out of the music world right now at the moment but we need these old queen of pop divas to make a comeback and save this music world by storm because these current artists are saving it a little bit but not that much we need more people!! we need michael jackson as well!! but he's dead.

making mainstream music isn't as popular when it was back in the 80s, 90s and early part of 2000s like it stopped being good between 2004 or 2005!!

I completely agree. I can't stand most of the mainstream music today. There's no originality or real effort. The 90's used to be so good. Who is keeping these so-called "singers" popular? I don't understand.

mainstream music these days is just utter trash, at least pop music from 60s/70s/80s had some substance to it.

much of mainstream music sucks, this has always been the case. I think the exceptions you mention are just as (or possibly "almost as") mainstream/sucky as many of the others you don't like. My basic rule of thumb is, "if a commercial radio station plays it-it's probably awful". There is so much good indie, folk, alt-country, power-pop, etc. music out there, don't restrict yourself to pop-divas.
