When ever we go to a Broadway, Opera or symphony, there are so few young people there. I wish more young people would like classical music.
i tend to agree. classical music is fantastic. i don't particularly like opera. i think to some degree, most young people haven't been exposed to much classical music which can be very difficult to understand, to the uninitiated. some are afraid of it for various reasons. peer pressure and the fear that friends will think there's something wrong with them for preferring to listen to Dvorak rather than Metallica, for instance.

Classical music gets me through life's toughest moments. I wish more people in general enjoyed it.
I love all the eras, however, I feel like we just clump all "classical" music into one group.
I love the romantic, baroque, and classical era. I also love a lot of Samuel Barber piano written in the modern era.
i'm also only 19 years old so it seems like i'm older than I actually am. haha
Did I mention I like ska music?![]()
I also agree. Classical didn't fall into my favorites until I understood chord relationships and what-not. Classical is definitely a genre to be studied to gain appreciation for it.
I agree, I'm 15 and while I don't have it on my mp3 player, I will listen to it if it comes up on the radio or even listen to classical fm if there is nothing else on (which there rarely is) I think that the problem with young kids and classical music is the majority of the people who listen to it are considered to be posh and such.
Myself? I've always kinda liked it but it only really kicked in when I learnt about chord relationships and how music slots together and such![]()
Opera IMO was good to listen in the past, but just not in the modern music days.
When I was small, I do listen to classical music a lot. As of today, I still too.

Also I love some new ones like "Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra" by "Yngwie Malmsteen"
