Cant' name a favorite. Anyone who can name a favorite band is closed-minded or sheltered. I can name awesome bands, but every band is so different stylistically that naming a favorite among them is ridiculous.

I understand if you meant to say "if someone only likes only one band" then that person is probably closed-minded or sheltered-of course there are lots of good bands, singers, composers, etc-but that hardly means no one can have a preference for one over others. I might say any of a dozen artists are my favorite on any given day.

Just because there are all sorts of artists and bands out there it doesn't mean you can't have a particular favorite. And also at the same time it all depends on your mood who is your favorite at a particular time.

I could be vain and say I am my favorite artist, but Some times I hear myslelf to much lol. I think everyone has their own favorites and that is the great thing about music.

I wouldn't exactly say my number one favorite, but maybe one of my favorites would be a group by the name of Hail Mary Mallon. They are part of what i like to call the "Underground Abstract Hip Hop Scene" an area of music that i feel has been seriously neglected by the average music listener. Obviously nothing appeals to every single person that comes across it, but there are some very good artists out there like aesop rock, dose one, and illogic.
